Michael Frank joined Deutsche Telekom Group in 2004 as manager of Regulatory Affairs at T-Mobile Hungary, dealing among others with the 3G spectrum acquisition. In 2010, he became a Management Consultant at Detecon, where he worked on several international projects in the fields of strategy development and implementation, launching telco operators and acquiring spectrum.
Between 2010-2013, he worked at Deutsche Telekom’s HQ in Bonn in International Public & Regulatory Affairs and International Mobile Wholesale. In 2013, he went back to Magyar Telekom and held various management positions. He was in charge of the international subsidiaries of Magyar Telekom and was heading Magyar Telekom’s Group Strategy. In his later position at Magyar Telekom he was responsible for key strategic projects in the field of EU funded broadband roll-out and Smart City/ICT business development.
In 2017 Michael rejoined Deutsche Telekom’s HQ in Bonn in the Corporate Operating Office being responsible for aligning and executing Deutsche Telekom’s transformation agenda. Since June 2020 Michael is leading the Smart City Unit within the Deutsche Telekom IoT GmbH where he oversees the end-to-end Smart City business of Deutsche Telekom.
